FOX is shaking up its Tuesday-night schedule in preparation for the Nov. 7 premiere of “MasterChef Junior.” The network is removing the 8 p.m. ET/PT Tuesday edition of “Utopia,” cutting it down to one installment per week on Fridays, and moving the cooking competition into the timeslot in its place.
To fill in the space until “MasterChef Junior” starts, FOX will rely on encore airings of the premieres of their animated shows. Oct. 7 will see a rebroadcast of the “Family Guy”-“The Simpsons” crossover event, with the season premieres of “The Simpsons” and “Bob’s Burgers” airing on Oct. 14. Coverage of the World Series follows on Oct. 21 and 28 (the latter if necessary).
The news can’t be all that reassuring for “Utopia” fans as the show struggles to find a bigger audience. Though the viewers are slowly rising, the series continues to trail behind everything else in the timeslot except The CW.
