As the saying goes, some fans do the darnedest things. Okay, that may not be how the saying goes but that definitely applies here.
At Sunday’s (Dec. 6) Walker Stalker Con — a fan convention dedicated to the zombie horror sub-genre — one overwhelmed “Walking Dead” fan took it upon herself to channel the undead and bit actor Norman Reedus.
According to reports from both TMZ and Perez Hilton, the incident transpired during a photo op with Reedus and on-screen brother Michael Rooker. The fan in question, named Robin Grover, told the actor how she likes to claim they are married before introducing her teeth to the actor’s chest.
“What the f**k was that!?,” Rooker allegedly exclaimed in response to the incident. Almost immediately, security restrained Grover who was soon banned from the convention. Showing he’s more rational than his character Daryl Dixon, Reedus declined to press charges against the superfan as, TMZ reports, “it was only a nibble.”
Sure, the actor has been known to lick his friend’s faces but this was definitely an uninvited advance.
For what it’s worth, Grover seems sorry for her actions as she says on her Instagram, “Finally got to meet the love of my life, and get banned from the rest of the CON and lose two more $100 photo ops with him because I lost my mind,” Perez Hilton reports, “I got so excited standing beside him … & just turned my head and bit him! I don’t know what came over me. It wasn’t my intention to hurt him. I’m sorry Norman.”
