Did you notice the familiar face in the March 6 episode of “The Walking Dead”? When Rick was presented with those three severed heads, which were to be presented to the Saviors, one of them was none other than Johnny Depp.

That revelation comes from executive producer Greg Nicotero, who also directed the episode. “One of the other heads, I don’t know if I’m going to get in trouble if I say this, was Johnny Depp,” he tells Entertainment Weekly. “I think we had sculpted an emaciated version of a dummy head for something and we used Johnny Depp’s head as a basis just for a clay sculpt.” That head in particular is on the right in the image below.

He couldn’t remember who the third head was based on, but admits that all three were a hot commodity on set. “Norman [Reedus] kept saying he wanted the heads when we were done shooting,” he reveals. “I said we’ve got to wait until the picture is logged.”

Whether Reedus ended up with the heads is anyone’s guess, but chances are Depp wouldn’t mind getting his own severed head in the mail. After all, he’s a member of a band called the Hollywood Vampires, this seems to be right in his wheelhouse.
