David Duchovny stops by “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” Monday (Feb. 22) ahead of the season finale of the six-episode “X-Files” revival on FOX — which he says may not be the last fans see of Mulder and Scully (Gillian Anderson), though he admits it’s mostly a scheduling issue, trying to get everyone together in Vancouver, where the six episodes were filmed.
“I think we’re all open to [doing more ‘X-Files’], it’s just a matter of getting everybody’s schedules to jibe,” says the actor. “Gillian lives in London. I live — I don’t know where I live. [Creator Chris Carter] lives here [in Los Angeles]. I would love to, I think we all would. We’ll just see what happens.”
While there, Duchovny also plays a special sci-fi edition of “Know or Go,” where the “X-Files” actor gets to send audience members plunging into an abyss when they get trivia questions wrong. Delightful.
“The X-Files” concludes Monday, Feb. 22 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.
