Fresh off screening “The X-Files” revival premiere episode at New York Comic Con — get all the details here! — the FOX sci-fi series released a trippy new promo during Monday’s (Oct. 12) episode of “Gotham.”

The trailer is positively Saul Bass-esque, evoking the style of the famous artist’s “Vertigo,” “Anatomy of a Murder” and “West Side Story” posters.

As the stylized images of Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) play, Mulder muses, “We must ask ourselves are we truly alone or are we being lied to?”, while Scully tells him he’s “on dangerous ground here.”

Meanwhile, the Cigarette Smoking Man (William B. Davis) says, “They’ve re-opened the X-Files.”

Indeed. “The X-Files” are being re-opened Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016 on FOX.
