zero hour anthony edwards 1 'Zero Hour's' Anthony Edwards: 'I'm not much of a superhero'Zap2it: What do you think makes your being cast in “Zero Hour” work?

Anthony Edwards: I think what I do well is that people can kind of relate to me and think, “That could be me.” I’m not much of a superhero.

This first season, the arc is very heavy for my character — but I’m excited because with the depth Paul (Scheuring, the show’s creator and executive producer) explored this mystery, it’ll be great to see the next mystery he wants to explore.

Zap2it: Does getting back to series work, after many years, feel natural to you?

Anthony Edwards: I’ve had that nice experience of people very kindly saying, “I hope you do another show.” I’ve also taken it pretty seriously that I didn’t want to do just anything. Of course, whenever you do a show, you think it’s going to be the greatest thing … but that’s all you have to go on, your gut and your instinct for what you love.

I’m proud to say that if we fail with this, I’ll have absolutely no regrets. We’re doing it as best we can, and if it doesn’t work, it’s not because we didn’t try.

Zap2it: Do you stay in touch with the “ER” gang?

Anthony Edwards: A bit. Julianna [Margulies] lives here in New York, so I’ll run into her. I’ve talked to Noah Wyle a bit, and I ran into George [Clooney] a little while ago. It’s like friendships where you pick up where you left off. We spent so much intense time together, it’s probably like college roommates, even if they haven’t seen each other in a while.
